Kiss Me in Paris
From a WordPress rebuild to a long-term technical website partnership.
Bipixels has supported Kiss Me in Paris since February 2023, beginning with a rebuild of its Astra and Elementor website on a custom WordPress foundation using Gutenberg.
The brief focused on mobile performance, easier content updates, and a premium visual experience. The relationship continued through a significant redesign in 2025, multilingual publishing, and ongoing technical development.
Kiss Me in Paris is a Paris-based wedding and proposal planning business serving international couples, with photography central to how it presents its work.

The Challenge
Kiss Me in Paris needed a website that could present extensive photography, galleries, and video while remaining practical to use, update, and maintain.
The existing website used Astra and Elementor. The new brief called for a custom Gutenberg implementation, fewer unnecessary dependencies, and greater attention to mobile performance and usability.
The rebuild needed to:
- Give the team a structured way to update content.
- Support services, galleries, FAQs, resources, and booking content.
- Make navigation and image-rich pages work well on mobile.
- Provide a maintainable technical foundation for SEO and future development.
Bipixels’ Role
Technical Website Partner
Bipixels rebuilt the website and continues to support its technical development, working across the content system, frontend, multilingual publishing, performance, and maintenance.
From Elementor to Gutenberg
Bipixels rebuilt Kiss Me in Paris with a custom WordPress theme, Gutenberg blocks, Advanced Custom Fields, and reusable page templates. The first version launched on February 25, 2023.
The implementation brought together responsive layouts, custom navigation, galleries, contact forms, and embedded Checkfront booking. Gutenberg and ACF gave the team a structured way to manage content without relying on Elementor for routine updates.
Established tools remained where they served a clear purpose, including Envira Gallery, Contact Form 7, Rank Math Pro, and WP Rocket. The aim was to keep the website manageable as requirements developed.
Built Around Mobile
Mobile usability shaped the layout, typography, navigation, media, and content hierarchy from the beginning.
A subsequent Google Search Console snapshot showed that more than 80% of organic-search clicks came from mobile devices. That audience mix reinforces the importance of making galleries, detailed service pages, and enquiry routes work well on smaller screens.
Built for Six Languages
Kiss Me in Paris serves an international audience. Bipixels introduced multilingual publishing with TranslatePress in 2025, supporting:
English · German · French · Spanish · Portuguese · Russian
Ongoing development includes checking how navigation, internal links, templates, forms, galleries, and metadata work across language versions as content and functionality change.
From Rebuild to Long-Term Partnership
The engagement has continued to evolve alongside the website and the business behind it.
2023 — Custom WordPress Rebuild
The original rebuild replaced the Astra and Elementor setup with a custom Gutenberg implementation, establishing the content system and technical foundation for subsequent development.
2025 — Redesign & Multilingual Publishing
A significant redesign in April 2025 introduced a new visual direction, revised page structures, updated navigation, and new templates and components. Multilingual publishing and further performance improvements extended the work beyond the original build.
Ongoing Development
Bipixels continues to refine navigation, galleries, FAQs, accordions, sticky headings, and responsive interactions. The work also includes image licensing functionality, two-factor authentication, Cloudflare Turnstile, spam protection, and ongoing maintenance.
