From a performance problem to a long-term technical website partnership.
Bipixels has supported Chekin’s website since 2018, beginning with a WordPress migration from GoDaddy to Bluehost to address performance and downtime issues.
In 2020, the website was redesigned, and Bipixels took on the primary frontend implementation while continuing to support and improve the platform.
Chekin is a hospitality technology company helping accommodation businesses simplify guest check-in and related processes.
The Challenge
Chekin first approached Bipixels in 2018 with a website experiencing slow performance and downtime issues.
A July 25, 2018 GTmetrix test recorded:

- YSlow: 62%
- Fully Loaded Time: 6.35s

The baseline established a clear infrastructure problem before the first major intervention.
Bipixels migrated the WordPress website from GoDaddy to Bluehost to address the hosting and performance problems.
The relationship then evolved beyond the initial infrastructure work. In 2020, Chekin redesigned the website, and Bipixels took on the primary frontend implementation while continuing to support the platform as it evolved.

From Design to Production

Bipixels translated the supplied Figma and Adobe XD designs into a working WordPress experience, handling the frontend development needed to make the website responsive, functional, and maintainable in production.
The result was a custom WordPress implementation that brought the approved designs into a real, evolving website.

Connected to the Ecosystem
Chekin’s marketing website needed to work alongside its application and connect with the wider systems supporting its business.
Bipixels integrated the website with Chekin’s application through API integration, connecting the marketing experience with product-related flows such as login and signup.
The website also connected with external services and partners through API requests. Bipixels sent lead data to Make.com for automation and import into HubSpot, and connected the website with Chekin partner services including Amentiz and Holidu through API integrations.
The result was a website that worked as part of Chekin’s broader digital ecosystem rather than as a standalone marketing site.
Built for Six Languages
Chekin serves an international audience, requiring a multilingual website managed within a single WordPress platform.

From Performance to Long-Term Partnership
The Chekin engagement has continued to evolve alongside the website’s technical and business needs.
2018 — GoDaddy → Bluehost
Following the initial performance and downtime issues, Bipixels migrated the WordPress website from GoDaddy to Bluehost.
2020 — Website Redesign
Chekin redesigned the website, with Bipixels handling the primary frontend implementation and continuing technical support.
2025 — Bluehost → Hostinger
The website moved from Bluehost to Hostinger in response to downtime issues under higher traffic, addressing the hosting requirements as the site evolved.
